Highlights Of The MDPI
MDPI Research Basis
The design and development of the MDPI is based on many years of research efforts conducted by the authors as welles notable psychologists, neuropsychologists, and math educators. The MDPIs incorporation of
o Clinical Interview techniques,
o the assessment of process as well of discrete skills, and
o the referencing of mathematics learning within a Neuropsychological Framework
o criterion referenced scoring
are consistent with prior research findings and have validated the role and efficacy of such components in assessing learning difficulties.
Studies funded by NIH as well as internal research studies at Boston Childrens Hospital have confirmed the validity and reliability of the MDPI.
The Common Core State Standards as well as policies articulated in Curriculum Focus Points: A Quest for Coherence by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) provide the basis for the content of the MDPI.
