The Beta test of MDPI has been completed. The results have been used to further refine the Analytics. Teachers reported that the use of the MDPI helped inform their teaching and support of their students.

A Norming research project is underway to administer the MDPI to students in the general education population. The goal is to understand the Mathematics Learning Profiles of students who are achieving success in mathematics. And to relate their results to students with a math learning disability.

The final phase of MDPI development will involve extensive computer programming to evolve the Input/Expert System/Output into an easy-to-use Graphics User Interface. The application will then be located on our server and be available for access by Math Diagnostics' subscribers.

The authors of the MDPI, along with Dr. Mindy Eichhorn, recently wrote a chapter of the book, "The Next Step: Today's Methods for Today's Math". The chapter is titled "Removing Barriers to Student Learning". By understanding the varied cognitive and mathematical learning profiles that students bring to the classroom, teachers can anticipate the barriers that students experience in learning mathematics. And can use that understanding to identify ways to mitigate challenges.
